@Michael – You’re right, I’m sure. That picture is soooo obviously posed. One of my former French team members sent a picture of me that I will put out on a future blog post on this topic – a picture in which I was obviously similarly posing.

The Leaning Tower of Pisa illusion is classic. I wish I had gotten a picture of Dr. Edward Panosian (history professor at Bob Jones University) acting as if he were pushing over the tower when we there back in 2002.

I have one to describe. At our wedding reception, there’s a picture of someone playing the piano while one of my wife’s cousins is sticking her fork into something on her plate. However, the plate is hidden from view behind the head of the pianist, so it appears that the fork is being stabbed into the pianist’s head.

@David – I’m sorry that the resolution is low. You might be able to find some of the pictures on the internet in larger sizes by doing a search for “coincidental photos”

@Wally and Jewel – I’m glad you enjoyed the pictures. I find several of them hilarious.

@Dave – I haven’t seen the commercials you talked about. They sound good.

@Anna – the blog is about my “humorous and serious perspectives on life.” I just looked back at the past few posts, and though there were some serious points made, every one of them had a fairly substantial amount of humor too. I guess my mind is on serious matters lately with the country I love at the crossroads of potentially huge change, not necessarily for the best. Glad you enjoyed the pictures.

Very funny pictures! I hadn’t seen most of those.

Have you seen those powerade (maybe gatorade) commercials that feature athletes? One showed LeBron James making multiple, consecutive full-court jumpshots on a basketball court. It looked completely believable but it was just clever video editing and direction. Another video shows a quarterback throwing a pass and knocking his receiver back a good five yards. Clever, yes, but scarily believable.
