Caught Up in the World of French Literature

I have heard from various readers that they have missed my blog posts. I just want to let you know that it's not because I haven't been writing. What I've been doing is adapting French literature for my students. It's a project that started a year ago.

Now that my MLF 202 students have gone through my adaptations, I felt ready to make them available for other French classes. So I am excited to tell you they are now published on Amazon!

The pictures of the books below are linked to the pages on Amazon:

Les Misérables [1]

Le Comte de Monte-Cristo [2]

Here's a screen shot of the "About the author" page from Les Misérables.

If you look at the Kindle version of each, you can see the first few pages to get an idea of what things look like.

If you know a French teacher or French student who might enjoy reading these adaptations, please share this information with them.

May the Lord be praised for His help in this project! I'm thankful that He gave me ideas when I needed them, strength when mine was failing, and reminding me of things I needed to do before it was too late to do them. I am thankful also for my wife's patience as I sat for hours at a time at our dining room table working away on my laptop.

Now that this huge project of editing, tweaking, and more editing is completed, I'm not sure whether I will post more frequently on my blog ... because I'm toying with the idea of adapting the rest of Les Mis ... after I take a much needed break from this task. Shh! Don't tell my wife.... 😉
