Signs of Summer

I have received some great signs from readers lately. They follow no theme since they were seen and sent randomly. I hope they will bring you a smile or a laugh to start off your week.

Two of my readers recently made a trip to Europe and spotted this sign for women's clothing sizes in the UK:

I knew there was a reason I drink coffee. This next sign could be why.

Not only can I now enjoy coffee, but I can do a public service as well.

This next sign lacks specificity, but the message is kinda clear.

German speakers might not catch the subtle error in this next sign.

There's a place on campus where I have readers who will love this next sign. (You know who you are!) Every time I go there, I try to push the pull door that is marked, Please use other door.

I'll make no comment on this next sign.

I'll end this post with a picture I received from a reader last evening, for Father's Day.

Keep the funny signs coming my way!

Bumper sticker seen this past weekend on a truck that seemed to be held together by bumper stickers:

As a matter of fact, I DO own the road.

Speaking of bumper stickers, my husband was called for jury duty last year. One of the questions on the huge form he had to fill out was “List all bumper stickers you have had on your car in the past 12 months.” Guess that tells people a lot about you!

    Love the signs …

My Dad considered a bumper sticker that read Old F.A.R.T. (Fathers Against Radical Teenagers)

The women’s sizes reminds of about 40 years ago when my cousin had her first job at a clothing store. She was asked what SML meant – not knowing it stood for small. She said Small, medium, large – guess one size fits all.
