Today's post is some sweet pictures of us enjoying one of Drew's fun gifts this year — Stomp Rockets! Megan found them for a good price on Amazon.
Here's Drew launching one.
Here's another one of him after he got the hang of it better.
Here's Grandma launching one.
Here's Aunt Nora coming in for a landing.
Here's one of Uncle Topher.
Maddie wanted to get in on the action too, but since she can't walk yet, Daddy Jim helped her.
Megan probably won the prize for her aerial pursuits.
Finally here I am in one of my attempts.
Mark, Katie, and Ryan were at Katie's folks for Christmas Day, so when we get together with them this week, I'll see if we can capture some pictures of them trying out the Stomp Rockets. Hope someone in your family got a fun Christmas gift this year. I'll be back at you next week/next year!

"Christmas time is weird... What other time of year do people bring dead trees into their houses and eat candy out of old socks?" — unknown

Why are aliens from outer space always portrayed as evil? How do we know that there isn't some alien out there who's just waiting to share the recipe for "The Universe's Best Christmas Fudge?"

Neat toy! Something we should look into for our son down the road. Also seems like you could have a whole line of different projectiles that you could stomp into orbit. The new potato gun perhaps?

Our best gifts to the grands this year were ‘Traditional Quoits’ and ‘Traditional Tiddlywinks.’ The whole family was lapping it up. The Tiddlywinks games got quite competitive even. The packaging looks like from the ’40s – ’50s era. Now if I could just find a Traditional Caroms board for next year. A question re the Stomp Rockets – do they light up at night? I was just wondering, as it looks like all the activity is at night in the pix.

Fun toy! I heard a simiar version of your ending quote. “I love Christmas. What other time of the year do people gather around a dead tree in their living room, singing and eating candy out of old socks?”

Michael, potato guns were a couple of years ago for us. You’ll love the Stomp Rockets.
Marilyn, I remember Tiddlywinks from my childhood. The other game, I’m not familiar with. Our adventures took place in the very late afternoon. It wasn’t nearly as dark as it looks in the pictures. You’ll have to check out the website site I linked to to see if they have ones that light up.
Vikki, it’s a fun toy indeed, for almost all ages. I like you quote too.

Your stomp rocket looks like a blast! (har har) Our best present this year was getting together with all of my siblings for the first time in 5 years. 12 adults and 14 children, with the eldest having just turned 11. Great times.

You’re getting some serious air-time in your attempt!!
How high do these things go?
