feeds

If you are familiar with how to do this process, you can click here, but if you aren’t sure what to do, read on….

You can sign up through a link below to receive the new posts to my blog by e-mail, but please read the information in this paragraph and the next to understand how it works and how to complete your sign-up. The e-mails contain everything that’s in the post on the blog itself. Many use the e-mail merely as a reminder to come read the blog post online, just by clicking on the title of the post in the body of the e-mail to go immediately to the blog post where it looks much better. If this interests you, read on.

This new process has three steps. You will be signed up only after all three steps are completed! Here’s what you need to do: 1. click on the link below this paragraph, 2. in a new window that pops up, enter your e-mail address and the code placed there by FeedBurner to make sure the request is not from a spammer, and click on the button (don’t just hit enter), and the final step is to 3. click on a link in an e-mail confirmation you will receive after doing step two. There’s no way that anyone but you can do step 3, and if it’s not done, then the process will not be finalized and you will not receive the e-mails.

RSS feed:
My blog has an RSS feed available - http://feeds.feedburner.com/ivman If you’re browsing with Firefox, the RSS feed for the blog is in the address bar at the top. There are also links to the RSS feeds in several other places on the site. If you don’t have Firefox on your computer, click on the link for Firefox anywhere in this paragraph, download the program, and install it. It’s a great browser with lots of nice options. If you’re on BJU campus using a university owned machine, Firefox is probably already installed - just look for the shortcut on your desktop.

Here’s a link that will help you understand RSS feeds - http://www.pastorblog.com/2007/06/11/understanding-rss

If, after reading that article, you still don’t understand RSS feeds, get some computer savvy “young thing” to help you. 8-)

Otherwise, you can click on the “Home” tab at the top of this page, and then add my blog to your Favorites/Bookmarks. You can check in periodically to see what the latest posts are.

Rob, the ivman
