Things Hidden in Company Logos

Recently I received an e-mail with some cool logos in it. The whole thrust of the e-mail was the things that graphic artists hide in company logos. I thought you might find some of these as interesting as I did.

I'll start off with one that many people have either noticed on their own or have had pointed out to them. What is the hidden message in the following logo?

FedEx Logo

Did you see the white arrow between the "E" and "x"? I thought it was really cool that the artist was also able to make that happen in the Arabic version of the FedEx logo below. The arrow points in the opposite direction, but then I believe that in Arabic they write from right to left.

The arrow in the next logo is much more visible and signifies that Amazon has everything from A to Z.

Amazon Logo

Some have said it also looks like a smile with a dimple.

Some logos contain hidden objects. What do you see hidden in the word "Kisses" in this well-known logo?

Hershey Kisses Logo

Between the "K" and the "I" there is a sideways chocolate kiss.

Look for the hidden object in the following logo.

Treac yShoes Logo

I'm sure you easily found the shoe in that one. The object in the Toblerone chocolate logo below is a little harder to spot.

Toblerone Logo

There is a dancing bear in front of the mountain. Toblerone chocolate bars originated in Berne, Switzerland, whose symbol is the bear.

This next one is a lot easier if you are familiar with Baskin Robbins.

Baskin Robbins Logo

(Hint, Baskin Robbins has 31-derful flavors....)

This next one is a little more obscure.

Tostitos Logo

The 2nd and 3rd "T's" in Tostito are two people sharing (or fighting over?) a tortilla and a bowl of salsa.

I really like this next one. What do you see hidden in it?

Pittsburgh Zoo Logo

Did you find the gorilla and lioness facing each other? There are also some other animals. What's in this next one?

Goodwil lLogo

Did you see that the smiling half-face is also the letter "g"? This next one has something similar.

Wendys Logo

Did you notice MOM that's part of Wendy's collar and pendant?

This next one is really clever. Do you recognize the company?

Northwest Logo

It's Northwest Airlines. The circle is a compass with a stylized "N" and "W," and the arrow in the upper left corner is pointing....

I'll end with several from France. Here's the logo of on of the most famous department stores in Paris. Can you spot a famous Parisian landmark in the logo?

Galeries Lafayette Logo

In case you didn't notice it, the two "t's" in Lafayette form the Eiffel Tower.

The French love their annual bike race Le Tour de France. Do you see what's hidden in the logo for that?

Tour de France Logo

The "R" in "Tour" is a cyclist. The yellow circle is the front wheel of his bicycle, the "O" is the back wheel.

There are lots more cleverly done logos out there. I hope you've enjoyed these. Maybe you'll never look at logos the same way.

The mountain on the Toblerone chocolate bar is the Matterhorn in Switzerland. The north face is to the left of the bear.

    Rob adds:
I’ll take your word for it, Theron. Never visited it myself.

These are really neat. Clever designers. My 3 yo Philip is really enjoying a book by Mitsumasa Anno called Anno’s Animals. It has animals hidden in woodland scenes. I think I find a new one every time we look!

    Rob adds:
I always loved images with hidden objects as a child. Maybe that’s why I’ve enjoyed detective stories as an adult.

Some of these hidden messages within the logo are very clever. Another hidden image much like the toblerone mountain is the logo for Arrowhead bottled spring water which contains a hidden arrowhead within the mountain.

    Rob adds:
I just looked up the logo and saw the arrowhead right away, thanks to your tipping me off to it.
